Using Growth Data to Improve Learning, Teaching, and School Functioning

This presentation reviews four key lessons learned about growth to date and discusses three key areas that will make growth data more useful: a) defining desired learning sequences in terms of content and curriculum, b) interpreting growth using scales, content, curriculum, and experimental designs, and c) embedding growth in a cycle to inform programmatic use. This presentation was given at the 2010 CCSSO National Conference on Student Assessment.
