The three expanded grade-level views (for grades K-4, 5-8, and high school) of the Learning Progressions Frameworks for K-12 Mathematics show how smaller learning progressions can be drawn from the Learning Progressions Framework (LPF) using the Progress Indicators and highlighted links to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in mathematics. Unlike the original K-12 LPF document, these documents are organized by smaller grade spans. Each of these expanded versions displays all six LPF mathematics strands “unpacked” for ease of use by teachers and curriculum and assessment developers. The original document upon which they are based, Learning Progressions Frameworks Designed for Use with the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics K-12, includes a more complete explanation of the research-based rationale and conceptual underpinnings.
