Be a Center Intern

A unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in educational assessment and accountability policy and practice.

We are pleased to offer an annual summer internship program to advanced doctoral students in educational measurement and/or assessment and accountability policy. This program is perfect for those who are looking for an opportunity to work with seasoned professionals on projects with direct implications on state and national educational policy.

Program Details

As a Center intern, you will work on one major project throughout the summer. Interns will also have opportunities to interact with Center staff on ongoing projects, attend meetings with numerous leaders in assessment, accountability, and education policy. Interns are expected to produce a written report, suitable for conference presentation as a culminating project of the internship.

General Qualifications

Internship candidates typically have completed at least two years of doctoral coursework in educational measurement, curriculum studies, statistics, research methods, or a related field. Interns with documented previous research experience are preferred. Further, you must document your ability to work independently to complete a long-term project. Specific qualifications are detailed in our annual internship announcement.

Consider an Internship With Us!

Each summer, the Center is pleased to offer internship opportunities for advanced doctoral students in educational measurement and/or assessment/accountability policy who want the opportunity to work with the Center’s professionals on projects with direct implications for state and national educational policy.

The internship duration is 8 weeks onsite at the Center’s office in Dover, New Hampshire. A stipend, housing allowance, and reasonable relocation expenses are provided. The internship typically begins in early June.
